Colgate University Benton Hall

Project Overview: Charles F. Evans completed roofing and waterproofing work on the Colgate Benton Center, utilizing scaffolding for steep slope areas.

Scope of Work:

PVC Membrane Roofing – 3,500 Sq. Ft.

  • Installed Sarnafil G410 Felt-Back PVC Membrane over a multi-layer system of polyisocyanurate insulation, DensDeck cover board, and vapor retarder on both metal and concrete decks
  • Flashing for all curbs, walls, and roof penetrations
  • 20-year manufacturer’s warranty with hail and 98 mph wind coverage

Slate Roofing – 8,000 Sq. Ft.

  • Installed 10-1/4″ SIPS panel, CDX plywood, and Carlisle WIP 300HT underlayment
  • Used color-blended slate shingles with flashing per manufacturer specifications

Flat Seam Metal Apron

  • Installed 16 oz. cold-rolled copper standing seam metal panels over a multi-layer system including vapor barrier, SIPS panel, plywood, and separator sheet

Standing Seam Metal Roofing – 3,000 Sq. Ft.

  • Installed 16 oz. cold-rolled copper standing seam panels over a reinforced deck system
  • Applied Henry Blueskin SA vapor barrier and Carlisle WIP 300HT underlayment
  • Flashing in accordance with SMACNA standards
